What order do the parts go in?

Thread Starter
I just got a custom DD water cooling system for a friends computer, but I forget the correct order that the components should go in. Here is what I have:

DD-D5 12v Pump
Double heatercore
Copper TDX block
5 1/4" bay res
10' tubing
mct-5 coolent

pump > rad > cpu > gpu > res/t-line > back to pump

thats the optimal WC loop

Ironically the order makes little difference because the system is in constant flow.

What matters is wats of heat dumped into the loop and an effective area to unload the heat , (radiator)

Routing it based on the idea the cpu heats the water before it hits the GPU block is in thought sensable but in actal operation proven to be untrue.

well, you'd wouldn't want the res to be right after the pump, cause that would cause a HUGE pressure drop in the system

otherwise, you're right, order of parts make little difference, as the system temp. will reach equilibrium after a short period of operation
