Anybody have the smartpower 2.0 500W?

Well I'm going to return my defective psu (stupid neo he ) and return it to the store, if all goes according to plan then maybe my dad will let me get a different one. With out paying any extra ( actually getting a lil extra money) I could get a SmartPower 2.0 500W (like 95$) so does anybody have experience with this psu? Anybody try it with socket a? even more specific has anybody tried it with a Asus mobo? I know Crash has it, If you guys could tell if this any good It'd be right nice lol

hmm... I've never owned an Antec psu. I almost bought a NeoHe550 because they were supposed to be better than some of Antec's other recent psus. From what I've heard Antec is not as good as they used to be... quality control is slipping. They still make pretty good psus, but your chances of getting a bad one are increased... as I'm sure you've already noticed

I haven't tried the SmartPower series, but I have used three of the TruePower series (one is about three years old, the other two are less than six months old). All three have performed well, and I haven't noticed a decline in quality from my old one to my two new ones (though if QC is the issue, I may have just lucked into good ones). The SmartPower series has some nice features, but I've always leaned towards the TruePower line. The prices are fairly comparable, and there have been rebated on the TPs recently (at least in the US).

I use it for my work rig. Rails are solid and haven't had any problems with it. Thats pretty good because its powering a Asus A8N SLI, 7800GT and FX-55 I would deff. recommend it
