Could not connect to work server error

post #1 of 3
Thread Starter
F@H is not able to connect to server and can't send my work. I have the "ask before connecting" box unchecked in F@H configuration. Here's part of a log:

[16:41:07] + Attempting to send results
[16:41:07] Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet)
[16:41:07] + Could not connect to Work Server (results)
[16:41:07] (171.65.103.100:8080)
[16:41:07] Could not transmit unit 01 to Collection server; keeping in queue.
[16:41:07] - Expanded 354801 -> 1770713 (decompressed 499.0 percent)

I pinged the server and it returned packets. I made F@H a trusted application in my outpost firewall thing. I guess i could try adding a rule that allows it to use port 8080...

anyone else had or having this problem?

I have this problem from time to time, and it generally resolves itself within a day or so. In one case, I had a WU stuck in my queue for about a month, and the computer was successfully submitting other WUs every day or two for the whole time.

Anyway, I wouldn't be concerned at this point, but if the WU doesn't get submitted properly within a few days, it might be time to tweak out some settings.

Finally able to upload WU results. Conflicting driver problems with firewall and internet traffic monitoring program.
