If you're comfortable with the weight of the Big Typhoon (and it'll fit), go for it. They packed so many frickin fins on there, it's 800g. The xp-120 is like half of that. Hrm. Twice as much metal. DUH it's gonna be a little better...!

I personally fear putting that much weight on a cpu. Good lord, doesn't TT spend any time engineering that thing? If they knew how fans work, they'd put the heatpipes on the outside of the fan, where the blades move fastest and cfm is greatest...but no, we'll just stick 'em here and here...

The difference between the two is a few degrees; the more money you spend, the better chances you have .

I'm somewhat of a fanboy, so I'd get an xp120 and a panaflo/delta. If you like big and heavy, get the Big Typhoon. Your choice...
