I got one from monarch last week for $310. I was surprised when it went from 1.8 to 2.5GHz on stock volts 1.3. That's a 700MHz OC on stock volts fellas!!!

I tried pushing it to 2.8GHz at 1.5V and it wasn't stable. Also the temps went up to 55C under load...So I'm not sure it's a good idea to push it even further since it runs hot. Or I may have to reseat the heatsink and see if it gets cooler. Anyone else having heat issues with Dual core Optys ???

A lil Denmark in there huh
Keep the full load temps to 50c.
Try a Big Typhoon to cool it down.

Sometimes with the optys it has been said that the ISF ( the silver thing on ur processor) isn't seated right. People have removed them and repositioned them or just removed them all together and have seen drops in Temps of about 5-10 C .

Its risky, but ....ya know...10C

It's too risky to remove ISF. I'm going to stick with my current setup for a while @2.6GHz

CPUZ says Toledo core.. go figure. My current load temps are close to 50. Do you think big Typhoon will do a better job then my PanaFlo Ultra high speed ?

its definatly risky removing the ifs thing (i killed my opti but my 3500 now sits at 1c above ambient with my water cooling and loads at 38c with 1.75v) but if you are careful it can be done-they put some crappy thermal compound under there just be careful and do it sober
