No, not the SIZE of your ram, the SPEED. and what speed is ur processor. I know its a pentium 4.

EDIT: I found the screenshots of ur ram speeds. 133MHz, you should be able to run call of duty w/ that GeFOrce 4, but... it may be your processor after all.

I would advise buying a new motherboard and buying DDR RAM if you can afford to. That motherboard is old tech (SD RAM, AGP 4x). If you buy more stuff to suit that board its going to bog you down in upgrades, when you finally made the switch to a DDR motherboard the RAM you had bought would be useless.
more than that, i'm not sure you'll find SD-RAM 512sticks that match your motherboard as old tech are not compatible with everything!! and 4x AGP, that's the reason your game was getting stuck... put away some bucks a buy a new system.. maybe for Xmas

if so, post a thread about you buying a new pc... an we'll tell the best parts you can get for your budget

Yea I would love to buy a new motherboard, especially the Asus one that everyone seems to love. However I have to wait on that and the case and the sound card and the "best," video card out there till I find a decent part-time job and till my parents get their business setup again .

As of right now all I can do is upgrade my ram and my video card. The ram I found is compatible with my motherboard because of the crucial's system ram check thing. It was able to find the same necessary ram that is compatible with my motherboard.

Oh my Pentium is 1.6Ghz, I think that's what you guys were asking right?

You know today is black monday, and it means we have like the best deals around. Search it on google and look for a deal. I would suggest that you get a video card (NOT A 9550!!!!! It's not all it's cracked up to be) and when you get the extra cash get ddr ram and a new mobo and all the stuff you can't use on the old comp sell it to make up for the difference. Thats just what I would do, but it's your choice.

^ I wish I can but as of right now I can't and I don't want to be stuck with the current "stuff," that I have right now. Heh wouldn't everybody want to upgrade their computer to the fullest >_<? As do I but I just can't seem to get a hold onto extra cash to buy a new mobo and all that. So the least thing I can do is to get an extra set of ram and a video card that can run faster than the one that I have right now.. =/

I know that my computer meets the minimum requirements for Call of Duty and I played the demo fine as well but when I run it, an error comes up saying my video card is missing a function or something. So I decided to download the latest driver from Nvidia.com but when trying to install the program, it brings up an error message saying that my hardware or my driver isn't correct. Hmm what should I do?
Did you get the regular Nvidia drivers, or the Legacy ones? You'll need legacy with that card.
EDIT: Sorry, nevermind. Legacy is only for Riva 128's.

I'am really lost right now. The ATI Radeon 9600XT supports 4x/8x but it also states this, " WARNING: Check your computer system! This product is NOT for use in AGP 1.0 3-volt slots!." How would I be able to check if my AGP slot is 1.0 3-volt slot?

Ok so I found out that my AGP slot is 1.5 volt. And this site (http://www.ertyu.org/~steven_nikkel/...atibility.html) states that a 4x device can be either a 1.5 or 0.8 volts right?

So the 8x device is backwards compatible with mine right? Can aybody else confirm that for me? Thank you so much for the help bros.

I have a 9600XT and it doesnt have a power connector.
Very nice!
