lol.. yeah, glad were on the same page again haha. And Jeremy, when he upgrades next he'll likely just get the fastest card he can get then, I think he would plan on ugprading when its necessary to play a game decently...

Well I wont be able to get a 512GTX as it's $750, and honestly I dont see many games within the next 3 years needing 1GB of Video memory, 256MB is ample enough for most realistic games on the market, of course there are going to be some.

But having 512MB of DDR3 will be ample enough before some major breakthrough of video cards come out. I'm looking at this as once I start my career, wife, and family, i wont have as much time to toy around with my games.

I do have a very serious girlfriend and once all that starts my computer gaming will be limited so Im trying to get the most i can now while I'm still REALLY into it, because my other hobbies are cars and most of it will be restoring my Porsche 914

So getting 2 cards now for free (need to add that) i dont mind since i can get the most out of it and they wont be obsolete since my roommate has had a 9800PRO for 3 years and still plays BF2, but CoD2 is a memory hog so he says.

I'm also taking over my parents business so futureproof really means nothing for me as I will be well off in the near future and can plunk down cash for a totally new system if I want to. By going with hte SLi route I think it will be ample for at least 2-3 years with having 512MB of DDR3 memory.

But sccr I am going right to 2 cards to get the most of of now, I'm a real techie (Need to have the latest and greatest) and I dont see many people running SLi configs cause of the expense but thankfully my girlfriend doesnt care if I want $600 worth of graphics on my comp.

Alright, the more and more I think about upgrading in the future the more the SLI set-up now seems to dwindle with the GT's

Looking at the eVGA e-GeForce 7800 GTX KO, it's a GTX with the added pipelines and has a better cooling system which I can get the card OC'd to 520MHz without worry of it overheating with the ACS cooling system. and with the added clock speed it will perform close to the 512GTX in the same range like the 256GT and a 256GTX

Would be wiser to get the 2 7800GT's or go with this GTX and wait a little bit (maybe sometime next year) to see if the price drops and go for another GTX and then do SLI, since the 1 GTX can still play just about anything on the market and I won't have to upgrade my PSU right now...or just go all out for the SLI config

I know I can OC a GTX but the cooling system on this one with the added clock speed eases me, but it's mainly for the cooling system
