I wonder what the criteria for closed beta will be?

Aw man my membership has been continuous since December 2012 lol. I think they should consider the age of my account and give me beta access cos I've had my account over 10 years.

Yea, 10 year vet accounts should qualify. Or at least have a BETA weekend or two for 10 yr accounts. I've got the gold VIP, but I still think 10 year should be allowed.

Also, is there interface scaling for higher resolutions?

The current interface scales up to 1440p, which they actually developed NXT on 1440p monitors. 4k is still totally borked but it is on the list of post launch stuff to fix that has been made easier with the new client.

I was kinda wondering about the situation for Linux since my current client is not exactly native, but after a bit of reading I found this:
Quote:
We will support both 32-bit and 64-bit computers, and will be shipping a native 64-bit executable to machines that support it. Performance may be marginally better for 64-bit, but there shouldn’t be too much difference. For anyone using Linux, we will only be supporting 64-bit at launch. On Windows, 32-bit is fine - we'll even be supporting Windows XP!

Native 64 bit Linux client! I figured since they mentioned OpenGL that it would be possible, but I am kind of surprised they put any effort into this before it has been released instead of an after thought. The increased draw distance will be great!

Yeah, they've got packages built for Ubuntu right now (14.04 and up I believe). Other distros (Arch, Fedora, etc) will most likely follow (although I'm sure HikariKnight and his team will have unofficial versions similar to the Unix RuneScape Client shortly after release). They will be supporting Linux, OS X, and Windows, hence the choice to use OpenGL. There are talks of implementing some DX12/11 and Vulkan (though neither will be in the near future). They have a backlog of changes/tweaks/features they want to do once NXT launches so expect those before any other APIs.

Edit: I believe they mentioned also using Apple's Metal API as well as a possibility in the future.

So I was talking to Magical and I came up with an idea.

I am going to make some videos and get some screenshots for you all who won't have beta access to NXT.

My question to you all:

What areas/activities would you specifically like to see?
