Hey guys... My HDMI cord outputs the video to my TV just fine, but the TV won't play sound from the HDMI. When I go to the "sound" menu on vista, and i have it "test" the sound output, the speakers connected to the TV work. How can i fix this?

Try changing the sound device to ati hdmi if you haven't all ready.
Or you may need the ati hdmi audio driver.

Change the default device to ATI HDMI on the volume control, or if you using a dvd viewing program change the output device in the settings.

I'll try and look it up, but I believe the card has to support hdmi audio for it to work.

right click the sound icon and select playback devices. there should be an option for hdmi out or something, otherwise, you have to connect sound to separate speakers.

When i have the sound menu "test" the HDMI out sound, i get the test sound on the speakers from the TV, so the card HAS to be outputting sound.
