Is a Maze3 waterblock going to be able to cool a 939 OC'ed?

I have a maze3 waterblock and a single heatercore system, My question, is It still competetive for a 939 oc'ed? like an opty, or dualcore sandiego?

Also My water pump died and I need to get a new one, I am hoping to avoid like a $70 pump, I think I would rather spend that on beter components in the system.

Well, if it says it can fit a AMD 939/K8, then it probably can...but i would suggest getting a new waterblock, like a storm G4 as for the pump and that block for a great price check out www.crazypc.com .

Yeah, the Maze 3 will work, but the temps won't be that great, especially with a single heatercore. And since that block has virtually zero restriction you need a high powered pump. I would go with the Danner Mag 3, which you can find for about $40 online, just search a bit for the best deal.

Thanks for the info, I looked at the danner mag3 and it looks like quite a deal. So would I be better off investing in a whole new system to cool my new up and coming project 939? Or would there not be that much of a performance increase vs cost? I guess what I am asking is, does a 939 really give off a lot more heat than a socket a?

If you dont overclock then no it doesnt give off as much heat, but if you do , well, yeah water is the best way to cool it, so I would say YES get a new system, right now crazypc is litterally being CRAZY with their prices...

Just make sure you get a storm G4 cpu waterblock and instead of a maze-3 get a maze-4 GPU block from DD along with that pump, and a dual heatercore too.
