What Would be Quicker

Ok, please excuse the possible ignorance of this post but im not as experienced at this as some.

Ive been playing about with my settings and was wondering what would be fastest in real terms. Keeping memory at 400mhz I can get it stable at 255 (its 1x1gb bog standard crucial (not low latency)) with a multiplier of 9 (athlon 64 3000+ venice) resulting in just under 2.3ghz.

However, if i drop the memory down to 333mhz I can get it stable at 285 resulting in the processor running at 2.6ghz. Clearly the processor can run much faster but will dropping the memory down to 333mhz have a significant impact on its own performance?

Sounds like you are playing with the 2T...

It is easier to get a high clock with 2T...
But 1T run a slight bit better, but not noticable...

Can you elaborate on the 1T/2T selection so i can confirm?

So on the assumption that this is the case, I would be better off with the higher 285 on the 333mhz setting?

If I was to switch to low latency modules could i expect much of an improvement? 255 @ 400mhz and 285 @333mhz seems quite good to me for bog standard ram.

Thanks
