I'd get the 9800PRO hands down. I think it's easier to overclock ATi's cards, infact you don't even really have to do anything. ATi Tool does it for you. Also, what's there to know about installing drivers? lol.

I think you could get more bang for the buck with a S754 or 939 AMD system.

Perhaps one of these:

ill sell him my current computer right now if he wants it, 200 bucks... you might need a new case, and will want to get your own harddrive.

its a p4 2.0ghz 512 rdram(yes RDRAM) with dvd burner/cd burner(two seperate drives) and an intel motherboard. its never given me any problems, but i want to upgrade to ddr2 ram. also gf4 mx4400 video card, 128mb ram(hey it was the BEST back in the day lol)
