How to delete network connections in Windows 7?

Thread Starter 
From the screenshots you can see that it says Local Area network Connection 4. How can I remove the other ones (2 and 3)? Also since it's the 3rd time installing drivers it says Xeno Interface #3. How can I remove the other 2?

I originally installed it into another PCI-E slot and when I moved it it reinstalled again.

Instead of right clicking and trying to delete. Just click on the connection you want to delete and press the delete key.

To completely re-install your NIC drivers (and wipe all existing connections) do the following:

- Ensure that you have the relevant drivers pre-downloaded
- Start > run > devmgmt.msc > expand Network Adapters > right-click on each adapter and select 'Uninstall'
- Reboot
- Re-install drivers

...should be cleared up after that.

It only has the current adapter though. The older ones don't show unless I plug the card into the old slots.

Rename the Adapter also?

Open Regedit, go to HKLM\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Enum\\PCI or USB

Then you need to expand the folders to find your device, you're looking for the String named DeviceDesc

Did you try renaming it to see if you can just take off the number?
