Alright, i got my Asrock dual sataII.

Everything is good besides this major porblem.
The Bios can see the SATA hard drive in the main Sata channel. Thats good. BUT when i boot from the windows XP cd to install XP, it can't find any hard drives???? what gives?

Why cant windows detect a drive when its showing at bootup and in Bios.

help please.

Depending on the model of MB, you may have to load some drivers at the F6 prompt... normally not the case as this is usually for RAID configuration.

Also check that the SATA Controller is not enabled for RAID.

Another thing to look for is that some BIOS need to be set to say that the SATA is emulated on an IDE port.

Are there other drives otherthan SATA installed?
