Well it is a XMS DDR2 but i think the 5400 with the 4-4-4-12 timings is better then the 6400 5-5-5-? timings what do you people think?

I wouldn't get DDR2 ram if you are considering buying AMD as they don't support DDR2 just yet. And also DDR2 doesn't out perform in all applications and has worst timings then normal DDR ram.

Hmmm then I would definatly get ddr2.

EDIT:: Well if you are buying a new motherboard you can get ones that have DDR and DDR2 slots, but if you plan on staying Intel you might as well get DDR2 ram.

Okay was not sure about the 5400 thought it was DDR, was thinking of the 4400 soz.

The timmings for the INTEL running the DDR2 are not so critical as the AMD's however the AMD CPU does not support DDR2 yet.
Maybe a post in the CORSAIR forum about the projected timmings on the 5400's at the speed of the 6400 would be worth looking into.

I guess it boils down to what speed you want to run at.
