I just tried prime grid and received computation errors. I may have to go back to 11.11 drivers. Those were working with Milky Way before.

Jimm's is the place from where I bought the cpu. It's like Finland's newegg.
When I ordered it last wednesday the est. delivery time was 2-4days, then on sunday it was changed to 3-10days now it's 5-10days.
Yesterday contacted them and asked for an update when they are getting it in stock, the guy said that possibly tomorrow.
Well haven't got any order sent emails or sms's so yeah.. Next week it is then..

Well I guessed it right for the bolded part, at least for the cpu. Got an email early this morning that they have dispatched the GPU. Alrighty so it will be waiting for me when I get back on maybe tuesday evening dunno yet.
But on the other hand the cpu.. Jimm's, the newegg of Finland, has customer service rep scouting the MuroBBS forum quite often, I mean really often.
Well I got a new PM from him this afternoon. Let's translate it, roughly though lol:
"Hi again! Well the wholesale stock couldn't deliver the cpu as we agreed so we had to order from somewhere else frown.gif
We expect it to arrive in stock late next week. For the delay I have gave you a small discount on the product. Hopefully it makes you feel better."

sozo.gif
Well well. That message sounds a lot better in finnish though so reading between the lines he said that the cpu could arrive in stock on wednesday the earliest.
Original price 49€+0€ shipping+3.20€ C.O.Pickup. = 52.20€
Discounted to 40€+0€ shipping+3.20€ C.O.P. = 43.20€
I'm gonna go ahead and create another order for the G530 from this another place called systemastore. Their site says in stock (20pcs)
Systemastore 40.10€+4.90€ shipping+3.65€ C.O.P. = 48.65€ <- Est. delivery 2-4days

I will pick up the parcel whichever arrives first at the nearest post office/matkahuolto pickup point.

Can you do Milkyway on 78xx series? From Wiki it says 78xx series has double precision capabilities.

Either way I love my 6950. More points in Moo Wrapper = Happy Me. biggrin.gif

Systemastore sent me an email yesterday morning and said that the delivery time for the G530 ends up being longer than expected and that do I want some other cpu if you're in a hurry.
Browsed their site for a while and saw that the Pentium G620 is in stock and with a short delivery time.
A bit higher price but I don't really give a damn right now. The G620 Pentium is going to set me back 66.15€ (incl. shipping and COP)
Responded saying that I'll change the cpu to that if they can dispatch it today. Well I got an email couple hours later with a parcel tracking number biggrin.gif
Yes! Installing time next tuesday wheee.gif

FYI, I can painfully confirm 12.3 sucks hind hole...

I put them on a new Mobo that has HD4250 graphics built in and it totally slowed the system 50% and crashed BOINC and crashed GPU-Z and generally sucked big time...

FWIW, the mobo is a BiosStar 880GS+ with an AMD 1055T installed...

It was running well with the CD supplied 11.2 drivers...

Sigh... that's what I get for trying something new..

I can confirm this. Upgrading to 12.3 is where all my problems started. Nothing but computation errors. And then my second card would not downclock to 2D clocks at idle, it was stuck at high speed. The uninstall utility in the driver package did not work. I had to run driver cleaner like you said. 12.2 and 12.1 did not work either. Now on 11.12 and all is good. Finally getting some work units done on my cards.

Sounds like I should stick with Cat 12.2 then. I haven't had any issues with it.
