Before I switched my 7970 back to F@H, I was seeing good times on DiRT with the un-modded beta 7 driver.

My times were in the 8:05-8:15 range, per WU, on the un-modded beta 7 driver.

Modded driver is a little faster at 1150 i always got 8:00 stock driver was 5-10secs higher.

Well, so far so good, my rig is fully set up and running. For now i'll OC the CPU, then i'll focus on the GPU's, But heck, moving from my SLI 470's to this was like moving from my 450's to my 470's. On stock speeds running DiRT i get 11-12 mins per WU on my 7950 and 9-10 min on my 7970 with the modded 13.2 beta drivers. Not bad at all, considering my 470's, with a ~45% OC, were spitting DiRT WU's in 25-30 min, and my 450's take over an hour to do it.

Hey guys,

I've been doing DC on and off for a long time but nothing recently, though I've decided to get back into it now that I have a low wattage desktop which I don't mind running all day long. In the past I'd always done SETI but have also been playing with MilkyWay and Folding a bit over the past week.

Can anybody tell me, of the projects which support GPU crunching, which would is the most optimized for GPUs and would yield the most produced work? My Radeon is my APU's 7660D, so it's not crazy advanced, but I've overclocked it, linked it to faster RAM (2133), upped the northbridge... basically everything I've setup has been designed to optimize performance from it, and I want to be on a project that will have me looking a the best results.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Yes, I'm aware, but my questioned pertained to which is the most suited for GPU crunching.

Different projects run better or worse according to what GPU is used. Some projects favor AMD, some Nvidia. I don't know anyone who's running your APU so it might be trial and error. You could take a look at the spreadsheet here and that will give you an idea of what projects are optimized for AMD cards and what WU times and points are. Failing that, I'm sure that Dark or another senior member will be around later and might be able to offer better advice directly relating to your hardware.

with your 7760d, i would stick to moowrapper/donate@home/milkyway@home. other projects might give you extremely long wu times.
