Yup, just sucks they're CPU only - looks like a nice time though, 14 minutes each? Q8200 has no HT right? I'd love to compare our CPU scores. I looked on your BOINC stats, and I couldn't find a link to host data. Allprojects, you can get to that too and really compare CPU's....

I'll toss mine in sig too..lol it's on my favorite's on all my browsers anyways.

Even with 87, with your quad that's still only a few hours worth of work. I hate doing that calculation in my head with Collatz/Milky when I want to dedicate one to boost RAC.

I want to dedicate all 8 cores to Enigma for like 4-5 days straight see if I can get in top whatever...and push for over 200K finally.

All those gonna have to figure out when to "No new tasks" all the others...

Kinda like a "x-com" or "sim city" game if you really think about it.

OK, that's it - I got an idea guys. So we don't have our official team right? Well why don't we make a spreadsheet and link it to the first post with:

a.)vid cards used
b.)CPU's total on BOINC
c.)RAM for both
d.)Stream processors
e.)theoretical FLOPS....
f.)4th collumn with an equation linking b+d and tie it to RAC (which must be credit/XX hours (48,72???anyone know?) - so we can determine how much we're really dedicating to it.

Example: Gill.. uses 2 4770's and 1 4890 (edit, 4890 is dead - wishful thinking on my part - I meant my 4870) which equal 2080 total Stream Thread processors combined with 8 cores of AMD @ 3.65 (averaging my 3.811 and 3.5) with an RAC of say 180K...

D's real result will kinda reverse total of the (you did such and such a work in years on a Pentium 3)....

This will be more of, because the RAC is XXX, we know that those video cards and CPU's are pulling 8 months of Pentium 3 crunch time a night. That's the number I want to get to. (8 months would be cool - but I really think the real number, whatever it is will be quite drastic if we get to it).

If anything it's bragging rights as to what we're throwing at it..I think it will be quite a statement.

And if we get really fancy we could try to grab the dynamic xml data from the BOINC stats sites and just grab the RAC for each of us and link it to the spreadsheet..that unique identifier doesn't seem to change (cross project stats thing) - so theoretically it shouldn't break (even if we leave, come back - change names (I removed real name for OCN name on a lot of them) whatever it may be).

What do you think?

If you guys think it's a good idea - might take me a few days to put it together since I'm working on those 2 loops too/working/whole daughter thing - so just bear with me if it takes me a bit to get your data.

EDIT - IT'S DONE - In OP now, embedded (yay me!) - So feel free to post or PM the total data to me and I'll fill it in as I can. And, any xml wizards, feel free to contemplate a way to grab that RAC and whetstone/dhrystone data we'll need.

In case you guys didn't see - I have the spreadsheet up there in the OP.. I think I have the settings to let everyone edit it...

Which i encourage you to do so, as it may have been unrealistic to think I could do all the updating.

Get your GPU GFLOPS on BOINC startup under messages..

Get the other's by running benchmarks (everyone knows they vary - whatever, we're here for fun)...or by looking at your hosts on Allproject stats...

Everything else you should know off the top of your head..

To get averages - it's straightforward - I have 2 systems, so I took FLOPs from Sig rig - added FLOPS from Kylie's computer and simply divided by 2...

Total, I got 2 quads - so times that by 8...

And here is where you Hyperthreading Intel punks get a boost!!!

Thanks Lyall, I'm at work - but I'll check it out first thing tonight. Like I said, I thought I set all the setting correct - if you guys know of a setting I might be missing, please do tell!

I did notice there's a place where you can invite colaborators - and I didn't invite anyone, but I checked "The World can edit it" type setting..

We'll get it..don't worry.

Try this. It seemed to work when I tested it.

You should choose to run more projects so when projects go down (such as Rosetta right now), your computer can still contribute to some other projects
