@Gamer....

Post 16 hours ago...optimistic cruncher.

15.5 hours ago...reality hits

15 hours ago....gives up...

You're funny man, you gave it an hour..it may have cranked up a bit over time...that was 4 cores - imagine it you had set it to 1 only? 160 plus hours?

Sounds like a very intriguing project though, thanks for bringing it to our attention - I hadn't given it the time of day yet, and wasn't aware that it was all quantum computing...I'll give it a shot (need to set aside the time)...that's an OCN special if I ever saw one..

My first Cosmology's and Astropulses were very humbling as well.

To Grunion...I'm not sure...I've never really seen just average alone mentioned (I don't think)..

RAC weighs in on each project, and I know it's just the sum of all the projects that give you your BOINC average - but even that's RAC too, since it's just the sum of other RAC's...

That figure though, the RAC of total projects is what gives total bragging rights..

For example, today I'm #241 total in the world. Seeing as that's matched against all the ATI setups, CUDA setups, CPU teams (sometimes numbers in the hundreds)....everyone who's active.

So, yes - not everyone can crunch all the time - but I still like to say (wishful thinking - helps to motivate me to crunch even better).. that it means I have the 241st best setup in the world (between my 2 PC's)...with 1.8 million users, while it might not actually be the best setup in the world - it's certainly something, and something to be proud of since it's going to good use (versus say spending $5K on an eyefinity setup and never doing anything but HAWX benchmarks)...

That's why I love RAC... I don't know about a regular average though myself.

Update on my Collatz 2.09 - I detached from the project. My Milkyway was only using 45% of GPU, and the Collatz wu's I downloaded the night before had taken hours each to complete (assumingly at 45% GPU usage for those as well). Once I detachhed from Collatz, Milky shot right back up to 99% GPU usage. Weird, like they don't play nice when both installed (with one in suspended mode).. I'm tempted to detach from Milky, let Collatz run a night on it's own (assuming it would run at 100%)...but that's for another week...

This is my App_Info. I can see the N line I think, but not the one to set the number of WU's per video card?

N line, R if you wanted etc all go in here :<cmdline></cmdline>

For the wu's per video card - you're missing the following info from your app info file (maybe you just didn't grab enough)...

<coproc>
<type>ATI</type>

<count>1</count>

</coproc>

The coprocessor is the one you want to tweak to get multiple wu's working - the n line will only tweak how many wu's the CPU will work on while the GPU's are crunching

With 1 above - it will be 1 wu per GPU.

If you tweak that to 0.5 - it will be 2 per GPU, 0.33=3 and so on.

Multiple wu's crushed my 4770's (512 MB) when it came to both Milkyway and Collatz - so I'm thinking you might need 1 GB per GPU to not have that happen - but we'll certainly love to hear your results if you try.

Let us know if you need further help..

One WU is going to take about 23 minutes and the other about 16. Lets see how this goes after a couple more WU's.
I'm only running Milkyway @ Home and WCG.
