Yes, they'll fluctuate from individual wu's per project as well (ie DNET might go 80% - then 96%, then back to 80%)...it's a good thing really....DNET or constant Milky gets super hot...

I am finding out my sig rig can put out some serious heat..

3dmark and a few other benchs ive ran dont do what BOINC is doing..

Now if i can just find a 775 mob to throw an extra P4 in and a spare 8800 GS in i could really heat up the room and add a third comp to the mix...

but i will say i tip my hat to you gill and darkryder.... dang yall are crunching it up!!!!

Which project are you talking about 90sec WUs? MW?
Cheers, that makes sense I guess.

The 90sec WU completiong was for MW yes. But I can't find where I read it and I may have misread it because I'm a noob at BOINC

Anyhoo, my stats finally updated through BAM and I'm currently in 47th spot in OCN for MW after a day, sweet

I closed the PC down last night because it crashed when I went to watch a youtube vid while BOINC was running lol - I'll try leave it on 24/7 for a while and see if I can make it into the top 20

I'm doing about 100K a day atm, so I should get to at least 25 within the next week, but looking at the stats of those above me I recon I won't hit the top 20 for at least a month - and maybe longer if some of those above me start crunching again.

If I can find a couple more HD4870's and if it scales as expected, I'll be doing 300K a day

P.S. I think I'll have to put a lock on the PC room to keep the wife from switching the pc off - or install a decent solar power setup on the roof lol.

My argument is she leaves the foxtel and the htpc on all day recording crap, so I can leave the PC on all day - but it is a hard fight to win even with that argument

Awesome, I love a good ol' battle - but I think you'll catch me pretty quickly with a 4870x2.

To give you an idea of how many credits a single HD4870 can obtain in 24hrs, my GPU completes a single WU in 2min 56sec (176sec), which is 490 WU a day. Each WU completed by te GPU is given 213.76 credits, so approx 104742 credits a day for a single HD4870

My CPU (AMD 965BE@4ghz) on the other hand is only doing 3 WU every 3 hours, or 24 WU a day (CPU preference is set at 75%, so it only calculates 3 WU's at a time). Each WU completed by the CPU is given 158 credits, so that's approx 3792 credits a day.

With a HD4870x2, you should be able to process 2 WU's at a time, and if each GPU is as quick as a single HD4870, then you should be completing each WU in just under 3 minutes as well - so if you leave your PC on 24/7, you'll earn at least 200K credits, and overtake me in a day lol
