windows taking forever with hdd?

when i click my computer windows takes for ever to detect all the stuff like cd's and hd's i also noticed my internet goes a hella lot slower. how can i fix this... if neone can add me on msn: illusion34@gmail.com

Format your hard drive and reinstall windows. That always does the trick

You won't loose anything if you back it up first. Copy it to another computer on the network or burn it to a DVD+RW before you do it and then copy everything back after.

Defrag using Norton or anther program, leave it on over night. But reformat is the quickest and most effective way.
