Hi, i have a DFI Lanparty NF3 Ultra-D 250GB motherboard... now the ram slots have 2 colours, orange & yellow, their are 2 orange and 2 yellow... how should i attach my ram for best performance?? PS I have 2 x 512MB Ram

EDIT: And in the Genie BIOS Setting Sebmenu i have a AGP Frequency adjuster... default set @ 66Mhz and can go up to 100Mhz... will increasing the frequency improve my overall graphics performance?

In most motherboards, you put the ram into the two with the same color (in order to run in dual channel). Look at the manual for your motherboard to see where to put the sticks in order to run in dual channel.

For the RAM, put it in the lowest numbered same color slots. So if it's DIMM0 thru DIMM 3, and DIMM 0 is yellow, then put one in there and one in the same color other slot.

Don't mess with the AGP frequency. Doing so can screw up the video card and one of the things desired for OCing is a locked PCI/AGP frequency.

Yep, looked up the manual before posted the thread... it says the following:

Single Channel 1) DIMMs are on the same channel.
2) DIMMs in a channel can be identical or completely different.
3) Not all slots need to be populated.

Dual Channel 1) DIMMs of the sam memory configuration are on different channels

and for the AGP, do it of course, 33MHZ more is always better, you wont notice a real graphical improvment, but you may find yourself with better frame rate in hectic areas of games
