Worth it?

Thread Starter
Since I bought a replacment Thermaltake the other day and found out it went 2800rpm instead of the 1400rpm that my case fans go, like I thought I was replacing, I'm wanting to replace the other fans in my case.

I found this behemoth:
http://epowerhousepc.com/product_inf...roducts_id=588

Wow....

Would that be worth the noise and price? I would want 4 for my case, but that could maybe be...insane? So if not that, then maybe just as a diff fan for my big typhoon?

I'm trying to find a good 120mm fan. I might just buy three more of the A2018 Thermaltake fans.https://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produ...uctCode=370464

If you can stand the noise get it, but there will be noise, lots and lots of noise lol. My super silent hp has this 120mm running at like 1500rpm and it is very quiet, So I opened up Speedfan and nocked it up to 5000RPM and jeesh very big difference in noise lol...

Also, 220cfm can sometimes damage things.

well, if you didn't screw it in tight enough..... "AHHH somebody catch that fan!" 220CFM is sweet but I'd get those sound proofing mats for the inside of your case (It will be as loud as like a blow dryer on low lol)

If your finger hit a 120mm fan blade spinning at 5000rpm, you'll be in a world of pain...stuff can get ejected pretty hard from one of those...like loose screws.

I'd recommend getting like one to put on an xp-120 for EXTREME air cooling. Like I'm too poor for water kind of air cooling. But NOT for 24/7. Get something around 40dBa...a panaflo would be good...

liquid will cool it off quietly
but the fan might allow you to over clock it even more
so i say get the fan even if all that noise will be there
() if You have a metal case the sound is cut in half (mac g5 case)
but it is probably plastic so your stuck
