Mobo/BIOS problem

Thread Starter
Hey everyone. Im currently trying to oc a PIII 500MHZ running on a Asus P2B-F mobo. For starters, I'm pretty sure that this mobo is able to be oc'ed. If it isn't please tell me. Secondly, when I go into BIOS, there is no menu that has CPU freq, voltage etc. I was wondering if anyone lese had this problem with their BIOS, or am I doing somehting wrong? Thanks,

berrberr

sounds liek youre unoverclockable m8. Is it a compaq/Dell/HP? This can be the answer, since the mobos i nthese computers are locked indefinatley. There is the process of using software OCing, but i doubt it would be worthwhile VS the risk(s) involved.

Welcome to the forums!

Cheers

btw, if you ARE interested in software OCing, i cant remember the name(s) of programs that can be used, but they will always be fouind here

Cheers

OK I filled out my specs...My computer is not a Dell/HP whatever, it is just a "clone" (ie. no name). Im pretty sure that i can overclock my processor, but i cant find out how to in BIOS.

I look up your motherboard, and 550mhz is the max for that motherboard, its configured with jumper pins on the motherboard, if your using firefox just type in the motherboard model number, it has your user manual for that motherboard.
