C++ Compilers

post #1 of 5
Thread Starter
Ok, so nobody will respond to my latest thread about Dev-C++, then I am going to start another one.

I NEED a compiler/program that I can type C++ Programming codes, like cin and cout and endl; in. Just because it has the iostream or iostream.h library DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL RECOGNIZE IT!!! Dev-C++ does not recognize it, and I even read a forum thread about it in a programming forum!!! It won't work!! They could not figure it out, and it will only take some other stupid command thingy.

I need YOU to Pretty Please find me another C++ compiler other than Dev-C++ because I don't know any other syntaxing than the cin cout type. I know other syntaxing, but not stray from the cin cout libraries. The getline(blah) whatever is bogus and I don't like it. I want to use what I know, and not have to spend another 4 months relearning it all

So PLEASE HELP ME!!

You could DL Microsoft Visual C++ Beta 8.0(free), or you could get CodeWarrior if you can find it. Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 works good too.

I have never used a Visual program. What is the difference between it and regular C++?
