ASRock 939 Dual SATA II BIOS OC options help - Page 12

After hours and hours of reading everything I can find, I have managed to overclock my PC, but I still have questions.

I have my HTT at 245, and my RAM at 166, and my PC runs very smooth and stable at 2.45gnz, the RAM in Sandra is rated at 408mhz

I am unsure about what the following will do:

CPU - NB link Speed (mine is set at 1000)
NB - SB link Speed (mine is set at 1000)

at one point I had my RAM set to DDR400 in the bios (the FSB at 220) , and it was running stable at 450mhz in Sandra, but when I tried to go higher with the FSB to increase the CPU speed, it wouldn't boot. So, I set the RAM speed down to 166 and now its running good. I would like to go higher with the CPU... My PC is running at 35 degrees when playing games...etc.

The only reason you would have it at 1000 is if you had your processor speed at 200MHz, because that would be 200x5=1000 HTL (Hyperthreading). You want it to be 1000 or under, that is the general rule. So at your current speed you want to set it to 800 on both the NB and SB.

I just got this board and I assumed that getting the latest BIOS (2.20) would be a good idea. Is it? I don't wanna mess around too much with the OCW BIOS, but, should I?

Essentially - which BIOS is the better/most suitable one?

I haven't kept up on this board, but from what I remember Asrock started coming out with Bios that were not overclocker friendly. Search around the forums for info on this. Honestly the best bios I can think of were the first 2 to come out with this board. If you can find those, you will be golden.
