Xbox 360 Nightmare! Must Read!

Thread Starter
I first was a PS2 owner (3 times) but in the end switched to Xbox and love it now i joined ourcolony.net when it was up and was one of the first in the world to see the leaked images and was very mad and mental on wanting a 360 - ever since i noticed the specs i didnt want one AND NOW IM GLAD heres why:-

Since it's launch the systems are very "rare" and stores ran out within minutes if not seconds but the main point is - a far 45% have already complained about it having crashes during games or booting up or on live,

I myself know a few people and one big game that have problems is PG3 - a lot of games are going around saying that their copy crashes near the end of stage 2..

And then theres PDZ which has been reported to crash on live after 3 - 4 minutes in a game.

Some more important issues are systems getting VERY hot and crashed and the DDR and Graphics causing crashes - the images are on the internet and it shows big what squares like you have overclocked a GFX card too much on screen and says system error:-

After all this Microsoft said:

"The vast majority of Xbox 360 owners are having an outstanding experience with their new systems," a spokesperson tells Next Generation. "We’ve received a few isolated reports of consoles not working as expected. The call rate is well below what you’d expect for a consumer electronics product of this complexity. As a percentage of the total number of Xbox 360 systems already in the field, these calls represent a very small fraction. That being said, there is no systemic issue with Xbox 360. Each incident is unique and these customer inquires are being handled on a case-by-case basis. Ultimately, customer satisfaction is our highest priority. Anybody having an issue with their Xbox 360 console should call 1-800-4 MY XBOX immediately so that we can help, or visit www.xbox.com/support."

THATS SO MICROSOFT - BLAME THE DAM USERS AGAIN!

I did want one of these but with this horror and Microsofts crap support and the fact they are using "yesterdays" technology just for a dam Xmas worldwide launch makes me say NO

And NO im not a Sony Fanboy I like Xbox more than PS2 but with PS3s Specs and Nintendo Revolution's rumored free 365/24/7 free online service bundled with the console the 360 LOSES!

Don't have a go at me like people on my msn list are saying "theirs is fine" they havent been on it for more then 5 minutes - and it seems consoles from the Zero Hour are all OK but most issues are with the free ones from the 10 minute giveaway from Pepsi Corp.

Another issue been pointed out is that theres 2 types of power block going around and that most of them have problems (REMEMBER THE CALL BACK ON XBOX POWER CORDS? LOL!) The one part I think Microsoft rushed on.

Sorry, Microsoft what LOOKED a great console is only a Door Stop or dam Heater!

Someone needs to calm down. I'm not getting a 360 but respect it's a good console.

If people are still having problems with their 360's, Microsoft are legally obliged to replace them, which we'll see start happening once they ship more to the USA.

It's hardly something to cry about...

Hmmm this is a disapointment. I might be getting a 360 for christmas but I will definatly wait for the 2nd batch coming right befor christmas, hopefully buy then they will have these bugs out of the way, or maybe microsofts patented water cooled heat pipe isn't doing the great job they say it should.

Its just a few cases, its not like EVERY X360 have problems. And its always like this anyway, when a new console is released, theres always problems with it. No exception.

I have an XBox360 and i was playing COD2 last night online. I think these consoles may have heat problems.

I was playin it on my 19 inch monitor (when i am not aloud to put in on the HD 50" ) and i was getting red and blue dots all over the game online. They were artifacts. It was standing vertically. I put it horizontally and i guess the heat can get out better because It stopped.

I was playin NFS and stuff early today and it was vertical and I havnt been seeing any artifacting. I'm guessing it might have just been one bad night. I hope to updates you's with more info if I keep getting artifacts.

PS: This consoles KICKs @$$....I'v been playin all my music from my computer on the console while owning people with a sniper in COD2 online. It doesnt have to send the music to ur console either....it streams it.

It's not really a news since every new console release no mater what brand has a problem when it comes to first batch shipments.

Look at the the other consoles that's been coming out lately, they always put something extra stuff on their system i.e. dvd player, hard drive, internet access,TIVO capability and so on and so fort. anytime you put features that's out of the ordinary as far as just pure gaming like nintendo there's bound to happen w/ your system.
