i just got mine yesterday and set i up last night and i got to say these are very easy to OC.and the temps are amazing too.using a Thermaltake Mini-Typhoon and AC.this is the first OC attempt to see how my temps would be.so far so good.

Sorry for asking here, just thought it would be appropriate because it's a club/discussion thread. I'm considering switching to Intel (Just wanna try something new, not necessarily dissatisfied with my current rig).

Would LGA-1156 be able to support more than 16 lanes of PCI-E in the future (if intel wanted) or is the socket not designed for that? Are all the lanes in the CPU or is it actually dependent on the motherboard as well with the chipset?

I am not sure about this. But I doubt intel would plan to support x16/x16, as
1. it's a mainstream socket/chipset, not a enthusiast.
2. x8/x8 does not make a difference with most/all graphics cards in SLI/CFX, so what's the big deal?

edit:
woo, just got to 4.6 GHz on my i3

Grats, and okay. I'm considering switching from AMD/ATI to Intel/Nvidia just because I can. Wondering if the grass is really greener on the other side also.
