Not so, the memory controller on the i7 920 is QPI and only support's triple channel. The memory controller on the next generation i7's is DMI and only support's dual channel.

Yes, but there is no difference between kits made for triple channel on the X58 and kits made for dual channel on the P55 other than the number of sticks in the kit. You can run two sticks from a triple channel kit in a dual channel setup on a P55 motherboard no problem just like you can run a dual channel kit on an X58 motherboard no problem.

I laughed, i was running prime next to me for about 12 hours, but instead of failing on the 13th hour or something, prime95 just quit.

Yes the i7 920 with the QPI controller will run dual channel and triple channel memory, however the i5 750 DMI will only run dual channel memory because of the controller limitation's.There is a difference in triple channel DDR3 and dual Channel DDR3 beside's the number of stick's.

Would you like to tell me the difference, or are you just going to continue claiming there is one and so it won't work? I have seen people here take a triple channel kit and use two of the sticks in dual channel on a P55 motherboard.
