NFSU2 Question

Thread Starter
What can i say. Easy game etc, but with the rig i currently have, i sometimes experience little shots of lag from time to time.

Besides dropping graphics settings, is tehre a way to make NFSU2 faster?

i was thinking along the lines of disabling directx9 support like people do for css... However, i dont think this would make a difference for mein the end, since mine doesnt even SUPPORT dx9 in the first place. But a question is a question, and maybe someone else here can benifit???

Cheers

Turn off some of the sound effects. And turn off blur, and glow. You could turn off things that leave sprites as well like tiretracks.

wow its nice to see someone that has almost the same setup as me but the thing is i can play nfs:mw quake4 guild wars(i dont think that eats much resor.) but as far as upping the performance see if theres a tweak guide with google i found one for nfs:mw and it helped try to turn litterally everything down to the lowest cept for the resolution: try 800x600 then up some of the details and the such and then see whats best for you

Yea, i was too. i can run it comfortably at FULL LOW gfx, so dont think i got some kind of mysterious uber rig . And no, currently, im running both my GPU and MEM at stock speeds. i might OC it just to see how it goes.

And NeRoToXeN , you can play them cause you have an x800 sitting in yours. ive been thinking about getting a 9600 for my 1600 Tbird, but still weighing i up. If i do get it, and boradband instead of this POS dial up, then i might have abit of fun

LOL, you post on a site called overclock.net but you haven't oc'd anything yet. Do you care to explain why young man *points finger* I think that you would get a nice increase becuase the gpu looks like it's putting a bit of a bottleneck on your cpu.

BTW I am just asking, but why don't you run it on your amd 1600xp rig?
