I Need some help please

when i got told about the ati tool and that it would oc my card i was real happy but wen i used it it turned out that it wasnt as SAFE as wat other people were sayin. because when i went to set max clock and so on it just kept risin and risin. now i thought that was good until i felt the heat of my card i had to go get a desktop fan to cool it down so can someone pls tell me how to oc my card SAFELY or if i did something wrong with ati tool

just increase the clockspeed by small increments, and use Motherboard Monitor (sorry dont know the link) to keep checking the temp. 50 deg should be maximum

Even at ok temps the GPU might burn you..
At bad temps it will scald you.

Agreed the newer chips can run almost 100C at load, so If it feels hot that isn't really that big of a deal... You should fill us in on your system specs

it doesn't matter wat ur specs r or anything ocing is unsafe if ur worreid about it burning up ur card fast don't do it if u don't care about the risk then do it just 1 thing if ur going to oc make sure u have enough cooling for ur card
