[ChipHell] Radeon HD5870 Crysis Benchmark - Page 8

I don't trust this review. It looks like a bomb advertising. The 5870 & 4870x2 are about the same spec, but 5870 runs over 40+fps while 4870x2 at 30fps. I don't think so.

Looks about same performance I get on my rig... ATI users should be happy. I'm still gonna wait on Nvidia.

When I had 4890 CF, Crysis FPS never went much higher than 30. CF works for crap in Crysis.

This looks like it will be quite the deal....I may have to pick up a 5870X2.

except it's nothing like 2 4850s performance or architecture wise......but other than that, sure they made 2 4850 cores into one and called it a 5870

4850's are way below 199$ , infact that was the launch price. I guess you are talking about the 5850's....

Those are some great numbers. Hope they are true.

let the final specs for the hd5870 speak for itself.....

40nm against 2x55nm...Its a totally new architecture and it must perform well against the 4870x2....

It's called optomisations

7800 GTX was a tweaked and stream lined 6800 Ultra and look at the performance improvement

I'm thinking Dirt 2, Forza 3, and Crysis will be a blast..

This card smokes.. and will be even better with more drivers, and we don't know much about his testing machine. Wait til you throw it on a i7 at 4.3 Ghz and 1800 DDR3. and Raid0 Velociraptors.

I'm exited for the WAR that is called ATI vs Nvidia that is brewing here. (hopefully Nvidia can also deliver like this) so we the consumer really win!

edit* and jumper, I doubt 2 of these will get that low. maybe if you make it do that. but it looks good enough with any ultra high config and max AA and AF. no need for more!

0_o...Forza 3???? Its not even coming to PC!
