Hey guys,
I need some appraisals on my hard drive speakers:

The case is made of 5mm acrylic, hand made and polished by myself and glued together. There are 2 hdd's in stereo powered by a 10W stereo amplifier (10W per channel). THere is a sound reactive flashing neon tube on the bottom which looks awesome. Inside the hard drive holes there are flashing blue and green leds, and there is a row of normal LEDs on the top. THere are controls for the neon tube on the back. The front has a volume control which doesn't work (
) but it still looks cool! The system is powered by a 12v DC 1000mA adapter that is supplied. YOu turn it on using the LED backlit button on the front.
The sound is made by a current being passed through the read-write head of the hard drive. ON the end of the head is a coil of wire. When a current is passed though, this turns into an electromagnet. Inside the hard drive is a large magnet. This attracts or repels the electromagnetic head depending on the polarity of the. This makes the head vibrate really fast, creating the sound waves. The platters help amplify the sound.
What you get:
Hard Drive Speakers + Case
12v DC Power Adapter
Jack Lead
What would you pay? +rep for appraisals.
^^ The audio sounds better than that. It isn't amazing though.
