WEI issue : Could not measure video playback performance. Win7

Hello!
I've just installed Windows7 x64, but i have some issues !
The Windows Experience index wont rate my pc!
When I run the test i get to the point where it says that video playback could not be measured and it stops there!
Aero doesn't work too! When I run aero troubleshooter it says that Desktop Windows manager is disabled . I turn aero on but it shuts off after 5 secs!
I think i had same issue on beta wiht Windows desktop manager , it kept crashing!
Also windows7 runs so slow , my taskbar is lagging and sometimes don't respond!
I had the same issue on beta version of win7 x86!
I have the lastest ATI drivers for windows7 64bit !
Please help!!

Have you tried reinstalling? Try different video drivers too.

Yeah try the normal stuff, uninstall drivers, run driversweeper, maybe roll back to an older driver, try again.

I think WMP is installed , well it is but not working i can't play any god damn file and it freezes and goes to not responding mode!
@ Auditt :
It's a fresh windows7 install , tried the default win7 drivers for my gfx card i got the same result.
Didn't install any new driver other than soundblaster's and my ATI's so i dont think that is the case!
@ octogon
It's a fresh install , no need to reinstall i think!

had this problem recently after installing a video codec package.
to resolve the issue, i reinstalled the codec package, and also, i opened wmp. it was a fresh install, and i hadnt run wmp yet, so it hadnt set defaults.

Hmm , i did not put any video codec .
Did you open wmp or did you not? I didn't understand you there!
Also i know wmp could be the reason for video playback performance thingy , but could it also be for my aero to crash like a ***** everytime i try to start it?
