The Core i7 100% Stability Club - Page 15

Add my CO to the list at 3.9GHz @1.256v. I made a mistake and hit 50 runs instead of 20 (guess I should pay more attention).

Here is mine: HT on, Ambient temps = 24

The more runs the better, it's just going to be that much more likely not to have problems; this and some Prime95, etc.

Evga Tech Support wanted me to "reseat the cpu" and "check for bent pins" since the "imc is on the processor". In my opinion this cuts the amount of warranties they have to cover by a couple percent.
The tension of an rma + plus a random reseat, there is always a certain probability that even a skilled tech will twitch at the wrong moment, perhaps a twitch spurred on by an insidious feeling of anxiety, which is all but guaranteed in a certain part of the population, when right before an rma is approved or not.
As far as I know, there is no reason I wouldn't continue to use their products, and the Classified performs well enough, that if they will keep rma'ing these boards with problems, I will continue to use them. The staff were courteous.
I am using Artic Cooling MX-2. It's pretty good stuff, but see this before using it.

The EVGa tech comments are basically them not wanting to RMA the board and are giving you the run around. Dead DIMM slots on the classifieds is very common and the tech should have/did know that.

A reseat might help, but I sincerely doubt it.

Well they approved the rma, I'm sending it off on Monday. That kind of thing is to be expected, it isn't so bad at all.

Good luck with the RMA and the new board. Hopefully, you finally get one that works and can still overclock that chip as well. I overclocked my brother's RIIE that we bought this weekend and found that it needed alot more IOH voltage for the same overclocks. Each board is just finiky.
