The Core i7 100% Stability Club - Page 92

so i have never used linX for stability testing but am happy to do so for the club if needed....just wondering why 24hrs of Prime Blend doesn't cut it?

how long generally does the linX test take on an i7 @ ~4Ghz?

when i post screens in the thread do i recieve confirmation of my entry into the club and then use the sig? or do i just use the sig and wait for a PM saying i didn't make the cut?

i am 100% stable (24hrs prime blend) @ 4Ghz (19 x 211) with C-states Enabled or @ 4.2Ghz (21 x 201) with C-states disabled.

On my 3820 @ 4.3 it took ~1 hour. I don't know if you'll get an answer for substituting torture testing as this thread is really, really old. Just run Linx while you're sleeping or something.

Hi.
Dont think Il join the club just yet with my setup, but hoped for some expert help.
Got an I7 870 on an asus p7h55-m board. Just got an hyper tx3 cooler that isent great, but its way better than stock.

So I havent oced for a few years so started tinkering. Got the bclock to 205-210 stable and then pushed the multi. Dident have to change a single power setting(might have helped). But the strange thing is that when the cpu get to a little above 70 on load it throttles down to slowest multi 9. And its anoying because its just where the max temp with my cooler is when it throttles... Also tried loweirng the bclock down to 140-150 and maxing the multi with same result.... I cant understand why it should be the temps at these levels.

Using HWmonitor for temps.

EDIT: just saw the date on these posts.... OPS! Sorry!

not sure but it may be a setting in the motherboard health making it 70º is max temp before it throttles it. may need to see if you can find it some where burred in there. my 870 is under water and my bclk is ~200mhz and multi of x20 with 1.29-1.304v. temps reach around 65ºc. been solid for over 5 years.
