X2 3800+ Overclocking?

Thread Starter
Hi - New member. Been lurking around for some time, reading this and that.

I am a little curious why I cannot get my X2 3800+ over 2.4Ghz. No matter if I up the PCIE clock, the core voltage, or anything. I cannot get the computer stable over 245Mhz clock... I've tried upping/lowering the voltage on the ram, tried PCIE clocks from 100-110Mhz, and everything else I can think of.

Does anyone else have some suggestions? I have a watercooling system just sitting here if I need it, but I haven't so far. I would like to get the system to 2.8Ghz, but don't know if that's possible right now.

Thanks.

Do you mean the FSB? It's set at 240 Mhz right now.

Super Pi is 35s (1M)

My best was 34 seconds, but the system wasn't stable at 245Mhz FSB.
