Yes you can put a pc4800 on ur motherboard but it will only recognize it as a pc3200 unless you set it up manually. Getting a header in ocing for instace, if you use a pc3200 ram it will be 200 fsb and you will have to overclock the ram while if you use a pc4800 ram you won't have to worry the ram until you reach 300 fsb.

PC4800 is DDR600, which is also 300 MHz, so you'll need to get the FSB up to 300 MHz in order for your RAM to run at its rated speed. Since it starts at 200 MHz, you'll have to lower the multiplier so that it will still run at 2.0 GHz or you can overclock your CPU and not lower the multiplier as much. I'm pretty sure that your CPU can get to at least 2.4 GHz on air if it's a Venice or Winchester, so I would just overclock both the RAM and CPU.

Ok, then get the FSB up to 300 MHz and lower the multi so that your CPU speed won't break 2.64 GHz, and then your RAM will run at its rated speed .
