I would get 2GB of ram personally. Also I HATE MSI boards, as you can see I have one and cannot wait to get rid of it. Other than that it looks good!

not really true, you get 99.9% chance of unlocking 16 pipes ONLY. The XTPE is speed, different speed depend on diff card, some card can OC to 520/540 while some can get 540/590, or even 600/600. Its all depend on what card you get.

sorry, that's what I meant, you can unlock the pipes but not necessarily the clock speeds, but the opterons will probably just get as high as the SD 3700, and with the extra money you could also get a big typhoon

if you can get the gto while it is $179-$25 rebate that should be nice, most of them unlock. the mobo should be fine unless you reall want top end. and the ram you can get great ram for $30-$50 more or decent ram for around $100.

oh yeah fill out your rig profile so we can vote on if it is an upgrade. (top left under user cp)

Personally I think a similar upgrade would be worth it. I am not a fan of MSI boards, Kingston Memory, or the radeon X800GTO's, or the Venus 12 for that matter.

A gig of OCZ or G.Skill ram would be beter, a DFI or Asus board would be better, don't know about the gfx card, the cpu looks good, and a Big Typhoon for the heatsink would be better.

If it fits I'd recommend the Big Typhoon it's also a RAM cooler due to its size!
