Hello everybody, am new to the site. I need help to overclock my Club3d 9600.
Altho i went through the faq i'm still confused here.

Here's my specs, P4 1.5ghz, 512 MB SD RAM, 120GB HDD, AGP 4x (as u see old specs). And a Club3d 9600 non pro. The card is that as opposed to a "normal" NON-Pro card with 325e/400m , Club3D has been generous enough to use a 9600Pro core( R350) in it & so its clocked at 400/400Mhz.And thats not the end of it!! The RAM on it is 2.8ns SAMSUNG( = 550Mhz) , so it is EFFECTIVELY 400/550 Mhz!!

The stock speeds are 398/403. I have omega latest drives.. installed them today.. I tried over clocking using ATI Tray tools but every time when i used to test the GPU and MEM ( scan for artifacts) the screen used to mess up. I dunno much, actually nothing about OCing this card was a step up from gf 2mx400 for me.

I just installed 3d mark and gonna test the card for stability. as per instructions in the FAQ. But would appreciate all the help/suggestions from the senior members here who know more than me in OCing.

edit: i set the program to run at 400/550 for 2d/3d applications by making profiles and using them at the auto overclock function. usd 3d mark 03.. and the thing lost focus and i have this vertical lines across my screen similar to the ones i used to get before.. is there any way at all that i can overclock is this. and after installing omega i had set the tweaks to standard would this affect anything.

Regards,
KwokFist

Try running 3dmark 05 with stock settings and see if it runs. If it does slowly set the core and memory 5mhz run 3dmark then if it is fine reapeat.

i ran 3d mark 03 with stock speeds again.. 1st kinda ok... 2nd game test was pathetic with FPS dropping to 0-nil sometimes.. and 3rd.. i think my comp froze and the monitor turned off.. i had to resort to reseting the pc.

if that's the case.. i wonder how i can play games likfe hl 2 without any problems.... i havnt tried on the omega drivers tho.. but gta sa runs fine even when there is a significant load on the cpu.. hl 2 runs smooth in medium quality very good infact.. and .. with AAx2
