help with Leadtek Winfast A400 6800GT ?

Thread Starter
Ok so everything seemed to work ok until i o/ced my processor or updated the vid card drivers. basically what i did was o/c my cpu and after using it for like two days i updated the drivers for my vid card which was also o/ced slightly. After updating drivers, after restarting the pc the monitor would turn off and idle. i restarted it with the switch and it ran good 2nd time. basically if you would reboot the pc every second time it would idle ( turn off the monitor, all fans would work, hd would run ) ok so i got PISSED i down clocked the cpu to normal and it still would do it. so i tried uninstalling the drivers for the vid card and installing older ones, still didn’t work. so basically i formatted hd installed xp pro again and everything ran smooth for like a month until today, same *****!!! :swearing: my dad was dling some crap so he left the pc on, i came back , restarted the pc and it went idle!!!! any suggestions on what it may be?? THANK YOU GUYS FOR REPLIES!!! I APPRECIATE IT

clear the cmos if you set everything back to stock anyway, that will clear up everything you might have not changed back in the bios...

and check the power options in the control panel first
