I got this vid card.
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16814102612
and I DL'd the new ATI Tool and when I ran it to find max core it went backwards. I hit abort and opened the 3d view and hit scan for artifacts at the stock settings and it ran for about 2 secs before seeing artifacts all over the place. Do you think it is the card or the new ati tool. it is a beta.

Try re-seating the heatsink. Do you have temporal AA on? That will cause artifacts in ATITool.

I ran CS:S and I didnt see any artifacts but i did see some lag. I am not sure if it was a drop in fps or just network lag.

Sounds more like an atitool issue to me, beta and all. This kind of stuff is expected for new hardware I guess, wait for the software to catch up, atitool and drivers included .
