well i have lots of dust on my P4 williamente and was wondering if ti will afect cooilinng?>

yup, quite a bit after dusting my I saw a drop in like 7C so I would definately suggest cleaning it

I just took off my h/s fan and gave the heatsink a good cleaning. 7 degrees celsuis drop! From 42 idle with fan at 20%, to 37 during surfing with fan at 20%, wait, make that 36! lol This is crazy right now. I cleaned everything and moved my cables and tidied em up. Temps were never better! ... hah! Harddrives at 20 degrees celsius! I'm loving it!

Dusts in the fisn off teh heatsink really disturbs the air flow over them, I have a heat pipe cooler with fins and a fan on that, so I removed teh fan cleaned of a pretty thick wall of dust and managed the cables a little better and my Idle temps went from Idle 48C (hot, but I'm using like 1.8 v-core) to 42C. At stock I'm at like Idle 38C and 42C load, so if you don't have filters on your intake fans (or like me have the side panel off) you ought to dust your computer once a month
