Help troubleshooting my computer

Ok, I have an AMD Athlon 64 3200+, Gigabyte GA-K8U mobo, 480 and 600 watt psu's, DDR 400, 333, and 266.

All things listed work in other computers. But when I put them together, the cpu fan will spin for a second and the damn thing wont even POST. So I try it with the 480 psu and the DDR 400, same thing. Then I replace it with the 333, same thing. So I put in the 600 psu, and repeat the process, and same damn thing.

Then I sent the mobo back and got it replaced. Same damn thing. The mobo specs say that it will support my Athlon, and all of the different RAM. So I replaced the battery and reset the CMOS, same thing. I cant flash the BIOS for a update, seeing as how it wont even post. The only thing is there is a RAM LED that when I push the power button, when the fan spins up for that hopefull second, is red/orange.

If ANYONE has any ideas to try or an explanation, it would really help. The computer is about 5 power presses away from seeing the wrong end of my shotgun, as I dont have any hair left to pull. Thanx

do you have it plugged into the system speaker? and has it made any beeps while attempting to post?
have you made sure that the graphics card/ memory/cpu are fully seated? just asking...

It sounds like the board isn't recognizing one of these three things and is shutting down afterwards. MOst boards test in this order cpu, ram, vga before posting so work from there and try to insert known functioning parts.
you said the ram worked in other boards so that leaves cpu/gpu.

and just in case check to see the posistion of the clear cmos jumper.

Ok, I tried that and still the same thing. Are the odds that much against me that I got a bad mobo twice in a row? All I know is that this sucks and I am getting upset, so any other advice will be appreciated. And thank you DeathDispenser for replying. Thanx
