Power Cord Sparks Whenever I Plug It In

Thread Starter
It's been doing this for a while, but I didn't know where to go to ask, so then I realized I'd just ask you.

I have a Compaq Presario 2190US Laptop. Whenever I plug it into the power strip(anywhere, in any outlet), there is a small, blue, audible spark that is emitted.

Is this dangerous? I've had the laptop for two years now and nothing has gone wrong.

Thanks-
Amped

Oh I see. Well, as long as it's normal, and I don't get lit on fire.

Shouldn't be dangerous, just plug it in faster.

If you're concerned you could plug in the adapter to a power strip. Have the power strip turned off when you plug it into a wall outlet and then turn it on.
