[Windows 7] MultiGPU Guide - nVidia - Page 43

They should all work fine with GPU3. However, with so many different GPUs, you might be better off using this client manager instead:
http://www.overclock.net/t/739408/fah-gpu-tracker-v2

It should be much simpler. If it's not working after that, then we'll need to look into other issues.

When configuring it (after it's been installed), you'll have the option to use GPU2 or GPU3 for each of your GPUs. Try GPU3 for the 560 only to begin with and GPU2 for the others, then change to GPU3 if that doesn't work.

Ok that at least gives me a plan going forward.
I'll give that setup a try this evening and post my results.
Thanks.

I'm happy to report this tool works great and solved all my issues with mixed "age" cards. I even used the auto detect function and it found and configured my cards the way I wanted them.
I did have an issue with the clients not automatically starting up on unattended power cycle/boots but I seem to have solved that by adding a shortcut to fah-gpu-tracker in the Startup folder.
Did I miss something in the configuration? It did not appear to start the clients on boot until I added this shortcut.

There should be an option, but I don't use the client myself, so can't give more info. :o

""""""""Open both "Folding@home-gpu" folders. There will be an application there called "Folding@home". Create a shortcut of each (to the desktop for now, but you can move them to the Startup folder later). Rename as "Folding@home GPU 1" and "Folding@home GPU 2".""""""""

The application does not show up in any folder. I do a search for it and it says it exists but when I look in the folder just dll files are there.

I have tried to do this several times and i am stuck.

Can't even use the short cut it made on installation because won't give me access to the target line to change info etc... it is greyed out. grrr

some one help please. have a asus engtx580 and a fxf 285 black.

Thanks

John

Thread locked for renovations. Will become nVidia GPU multi-GPU guide. AMD folders should use V7.
