GeForce FX 5500 256mb Question

Thread Starter
I am not, how do you say, overclock savy, but I got some basics. One thing I would like to know is, though, what is the recommended drivers and OC speed for my card? Any info from other 5500ers or people who just know everything would help. Thanks.

Also my first post on overclock.net, and so far, it is pretty k00l.

Try 77.71 or 77.77 drivers, and well try coolbits to oc it. Just bump the core/memory by 3mhz each and then run 3dmark 2003 and look for artifacts, if there are none then repeat. As for what kind of speeds to expect, well try google my freind.

310/425 is a good speed for your card (i have the same one) and 3dmark 03 is really slow on that card. aquamark 3 is the way to go

download ATI tool to check for artifacts...best way to figure it all out if you ask me...don't even have to look for them yourself cause the program does it for you...

you can't check the card temps, i think the 5900 and up (possibly the 5700) have temp sensors on the cards.
