Yet another TBird question

Thread Starter
as the title suggests...here we go again. OK. So i have basically finished this thing. My idle seems good, 46* (considering that it USED to idle at 55~) but for some reason, i dont think i can get an accurate IDLE reading, because it seems that my CPU is ALWAYS been used at 30+%. weird. There dont seem to be any apps running hta are ever taking more htna several % at a time. It appears as saying "SOMETHING IDLE SOMETHING" (its a system thing) using 80 - 100% always. so ***? is there a hideen app here that my CPU usage recognises, but not my 'running processers' list?

I think ive seen something on something similar b4, but i cant remember. peace
If you ned to know, i have got 18/19 processes running on startup. Thank god for msconfig, otherwise, many a computer of mine would have met my BFH...

Cheers
My System

try running a spyware, and adware, virus scan. sometimes it can be those running in the background. check your system idle processes to.

EDIT: alos try running them in safe mode, sometimes viruses and the like can be undetectable in normal windows operation, because they already started running. safe mode only runs the esentials, you should be able to do a scan from there.
