extra pipelines X800RX

Thread Starter
Hi peeps, as you can see im new here!
before i start off here, you have to know i do my homework. I read forums so i can figure out how to do something.

well i have a DFI lanparty RD200 crossfire mainboard 2 gig mem OCZ platinum 2-3-2-5 kit, AMD 64 3200+, with now only a X800RX slave since the master will come out in december.
I wanted to get the max out of my system and started reading about overclocking, and this i howfar i got with the videocard.
Best overclock was Core = 609 Mem = 540 Mhz.
Then i played with the memtimings usins atitool and these are the best timings you can get with this mem since it is the same on a XT:
TRCDRD: 7
TRCDWR: 3
TRP: 5
TRAS: 13
TRRD: 4
TWR: 6
TR2W: CL+2
TW2R: 4
TR2R: USE TWR RULE
TR2R: 2
WR_LATENCY: 1.5
CAS_LATENCY: 7
CMD_LATENCY: 0
STR_LATENCY: WR LATENCY
REFRESH_RATE: 0x75
TRFC: 23

With these timings my overclock for the core was the same, but my mem could get to 525 MHZ.

I now have 4950 3DMark score wth my system and play BF2 with everything HIGH and 2x antialiasing.

Now my question.
Since it has 8 pipelines and 6 vertex shaders can i unlock more by flashing?
I previously owned a 6800GT and could unlock with rivatuner, but that doesn't work with ATI.
This is wat rivatuner reports
Rivatuner
256 bit R423 (8x1) with 256 Mb DDR3 memory
Reg 00000990 :ffff5fff
On the chips it states Samsung ending on 16, so that should mean 1.6 ns
Ati tool and everest also state it has a R423 core, but all the texts in the reviews say it should have a R480 core.
Help me out here peeps!

The only way to know for sure is to remove the Heatsink and check what it says on the core. From what I understand, only the x800GTO2 uses a guaranteed x850 core so it's luck of the draw if you get the r480 or r423. Even if it is an r423, you can still try flashing to an x800XT and enabling an extra 8p.

My connect3D is an R423 and I flashed it to 16pipe, running 500 core and 560 mem.
