do yourself a favor, change your name to amd and go with a 3700+ or 3800+x2...

I just made the switch and couldn't be happier.
Netburst is dead/dying, even Intel admits that they're phasing out that micro-archetechture because of its inability to scale with the times. Hop on the Bandwagon, Flee the sinking shipp whilst you still can!

dfi lp ut nf4 ultra-d
asus an8 sli deluxe or premium
theres tons of others go to the amd motherboards section on this site.

DUDE you're on the edge! Take the plunge, x2 kicks @55, and I'm sure the regular single cores do good too!

I looked at the price of a 3800x2 on ebay, and thought i couldnt afford it. I know everyone says I will notice a diff between amd and intel, but as long as it doesnt lag that bad, and it can play modern games i will be happy, so for now i think i may stick with the intel. My friend has a p4 2.8 ht with asus mobo and asus nvidia 128 agp graph card and 512 ram, and it plays games no lag so wouldnt the dual core be quicker?
